Day 01 : Delhi Lotus Tample
You will be met by our car with chauffeur for the short transfer to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02 : Delhi
Full day sightseeing in Delhi. You could include some of the following: Old Delhi, Red Fort, and the Jama Masjid Mosque, with a rickshaw ride through the Chandni Chowk visiting the Spice, Wedding and Silver Markets and then the Birla Temple if you wish before lunch.

Attaractions :
- India Gate - Parliament Buildings
- Humayun's Tomb
- Lotus Temple

Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03 : Delhi - Chandigarh
Take morning shatabdi train to reach Chandigarh at 11.00 Hrs. Anglo Indiago representative will meet assist and transfer you to hotel. After lunch half day sight seeing of Chandigarh. Visit Rock Gardens and Sukhna Lake. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Attaractions :

Rock Garden : Chandigarh has the distinction of having a unique world-acclaimed Rock Garden. It consists of art objects, fashioned from industrial and urban waste. It is situated between the Capitol Complex and Sukhna Lake in Sector 1. It nestles amidst 20 acres of woods in the form of an open air exhibition hall, theatre trove and a miniature maze all rolled into one vast fantasy land of art and landscape. It is without doubt, a tourist spot that is a must on the itinerary of every visitor to Chandigarh.

Sukhna Lake : This 3 sq km rain fed lake was created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from the Shivalik Hills. Originally the seasonal flow entered the lake directly causing heavy siltation. To check the inflow of silt, land measuring 2542 hectares was acquired in the catchments area and put under vegetation. In 1974, the Choe was diverted and made to bye-pass the lake completely, the lake being fed by three siltation pots, minimizing the entry of silt into the lake itself. The roof of the 'bund' or dam, elegantly landscaped has become a favorite promenade.

Day 04 : Chandigarh - Manali. (310 Km / 8 - 9 hrs)
After early breakfast at the hotel start drive to Manali. Enroute stop at Bilaspur for splendid view of Govind Sagar Dam and tea. Continue driving to Manali via Mandi and Kullu. Arrive Manali by evening. After checking in the hotel, proceed for walk in the town. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 : Manali
After breakfast leave for full day city tour of Manali. Evening stroll around the mall road. Overnight at the hotel.

Attaractions :

Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa : Little Tibetan monasteries, called Gompas, are a major tourist attraction in Manali. The Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa is full of life and colours.

Manu Temple : A picturesque half-hour walk up the hills in Old Manali takes you to the Manu Temple. Legend has it that Manu, the first Man, came to earth and landed on this spot after a great flood.

Vashisht Baths : Vashisht, a village along the banks of the river Beas, is famous for its hot springs and the temple of Lord Rama.

Hadimba Devi Temple : 1.5 km from main Manali, Hadimba Devi Temple has a 4-tier pagoda-shaped roof with an intricately carved doorway and sculptures depicting Indian mythology. The surrounding woods are very scenic, and you'll find plenty of locals ready to let you photograph them locals in their traditional attire. You can even hop onto a yak and get your photograph taken.

Manali - Tandi Day 06 : Manali - Tandi (2573 M.) 110 Km / 5 - 6 Hrs Drive
Morning after breakfast drive to Tandi via Rohtang pass (3980 M) for acclimatization purpose. Tandi is situated at the altitude of 2573 meters at the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga River; Tandi is just 8 km short of Keylong. The village has a population of about 500. It is believed that this place was founded by Raja (King) Rana Chand under the name of Chandi which over the years got corrupted in Tandi. According to the mythological story about this place that Chandra and Bhaga River were son and daughter of the Moon and Sun God respectively. They were in love with each other and decided to meet here to enter the wedlock. People respect this place as most sacred place in Lahaul valley. Arrive Tandi in the evening dinner and overnight at Drilbu Retreat in Tandi.

Day 07 : Tandi - Sarchu (4253 M) 107 Km / 5 - 6 Hrs Drive
From this day we drive on Leh route and the road winds through extensive fields and long river of Bhaga on the way we stop at Darcha for Passport check. Darcha is the base point for many different trekking routes.

Continue drive to Baralachla pass 4883 Meters. There is a lake known as Surajtal and it is worth to stop here for pictures. Finally we reach Sarchu which is the boundary line between Himachal and Jammu n Kashmir state. Tonight our camp will be at an altitude of 4253 Meters. And it will be the coldest night during the whole tour. This is the last point of Himachal in this safari. Dinner and overnight at Swiss Cottage Tents.

Day 08 : Sarchu - Karzok Village (4267m) 118 km / 6 hrs drive
After breakfast drive to Pang, the temporary market village on the Leh-Manali road, which operates from June till September. Drive through Tanlanla pass to the Karzok village where you will find a gompa inhabited predominantly by women who spend their time making beautiful garments.Enjoy exploring the village and O/N in tents.


Day 09 : Karzok - Tsomoriri - Tsokar - Karzok - Excursion
Spend the day visiting the Tso Moriri lake south east from Leh. This beautiful pearl shaped lake contains large mineral deposits and has a circumference of 36kms. Enjoy visiting Tsokar and thukse villages and return to you camp in the evening.


Day 10 : Karzok - Leh 220 km in 8 - 9 hrs drive
Leh, the capital of Ledak, lies in the Indus vally nestled between the Stok mountains in the south and the Ladakh range in the north. For centuries it has been a place where travelers of different nationalities have rested. In the 15th century both Leh and the village of Shey shared the responsibility of being the capitals of Upper Ladakh, Shey was the more fortified of the two, while Leh was in the prime position for trade. The town's growth in importance is relegated by the building of the first royal residency on top of Namguyal peaks. Leh's prosperity resulted from its location at the foot of the Khardung La, the gateway of the famous silk route. Leh also boasts the first royal residency on top of the Namguyal peaks.


Day 11 : Leh Sight seeing
Morning after breakfast visit Shey Monastery; proceed to visit Thiksey and Hemis monasteries. Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Attaractions :

Shey Palace and Gompa : Situated on a hillock 15 Kms upstream from Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family. According to tradition, it was the seat of power of the pre-Tibetan kinds. A 7.5 meters high copper statue of Buddha, plated with gold and the largest of its kind, is installed here.

Thiksey Gompa : 19 Kms from Leh, spectacularly sited, Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas. There are several temples in this Gompas, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, which are exquisite.

Hemis GompaHemis Gompa (last 2004) : 40 Kms from Leh, it is the wealthiest, best known and biggest Gompa of Ladakh. Its popularity stems from the major annual festival held here in summer. The festival is in honor of Guru Padma Sambhava's birth anniversary. It also has the largest Thanka in Ladakh which is unfurled once in every 12 years. Hemis was built in 1630 during the reign of Singge Namgyal, an illustrious ruler of Ladakh. It flourished under the Namgyal Dynasty for the royalty favored the Drugpa sect, which is managed the monastery. The temple is known as Tshogkhang. The verandahs have a surfeit of frescoes, among them the Buddhist "Wheel of Life" (Kalachakra) and the lords of the four quarters, besides the prayer wheel.

Day 12 : Leh - Nubra via Khardungla Pass
Early morning proceed to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motorable road (5602 Meters) Khardungla pass. Arrive Nubra by noon and check in at The Silk Route Cottages. Evening at leisure. Overnight at The Silk Route Cottage.

Attaractions :

Khardungla Pass : The road journey to Nubra valley leads through Khardung La pass (The highest Motorable road in the world) 18,390 ft. around 39 Kms. Away from Leh. There are two checkpoints on the both sides of the pass. Khardong is the first village of Nubra valley at higher altitude than Deskit and other villages.

Day 13 : Nubra Sight seeing
Morning after breakfast proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder. You can enjoy the camel ride at nubra (these are the mountain camels and only found at nubra vally and in mangolia). Visit Hunder and Diskit monasteries. Evening trek to Samstaling Monestary. Overnight at The Silk Route Cottage.

Attaractions :

Deskit Village : Deskit is the main village of headquarter of Nubra valley, which has a small market consisting of a row of shops and about 500 years old Gompa on the hilltop. Spectacular view of the valley can be seen from the monastery.

Deskit Gompa : Deskit Gompa was founded by Lama Sherab Zangpo of Stod in about 1420 AD during the reign of King Dragspa. About 100 monks are residing in the Gompa, which is a branch of Thikse Monastery. The monastic festival called Gustor takes place on 20th and 21st days of the 12th month of Tibetan calendar.

Hundar Village :The beautiful Hundar village contains a small monastery and an old fort. Here you can take a 2 hour camel safari from Hundar to Deskit.

Samstanling Gompa : Samstanling gompa, founded by Lama Tsultrim Nima, is a 132 years old and currently has 50-60 monks residing in it.

The Gompa has some strict rules and regulations.

- Women are not allowed in the monastery after sunset and before sunrise.
- No smoking is allowed (not even bringing cigarettes packets) in the monastery.
- Alcohol and non-veg foods are strictly prohibited.
- Do not enter in sleeveless shirts and short pants.

Day 14 : Nubra - Leh
Morning after Breakfast proceed for Leh, once again driving via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road. Evening explore Leh bazaar for souvenir, visit Leh Jokhang or Leh Mosque by foot. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 15 : Leh
Day at leisure. You can visit local bazaar if you wish. Overnight at the hotel in Leh.

Day 16 : Leh
After breakfast leave for sightseeing of Sankar Gompa and Shanti Stupa. Rest of the day free to visit the nearby places on foot. Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day 17 : Airport Departure Transfer to Leh airport for flight to Delhi.
